1. The average age of A, B And C sis 30 years. If the difference between B's age and A's age is same as the difference between C's age and B's age . If D is 40 years older than B then what is the sum of the age B and D?

  • A. 130 years
  • B. 130 years
  • C. 130 years
  • D. 130 years

Answer: Option D

Explanation:

ATQ, B - A = C - B

= > 2B = A + C

Now, A + B + C = 30 x3 = 90

= > B + (A + C) = 90

= > B + 2B = 90

= > 3B = 90 :: B = 30

D's age = 30 + 40 = 70

B + D = 70 + 30 = 100 (Ans) .
