1. As a child I used to consider gardening a boring chore just for grown-ups’ even though I did love being in gardens myself playing and walking, touching and sniffing. Over the years, I have’ gleaned how to the noun ‘garden’ into the verb ‘to garden’, As I have moved jobs and houses. I’ve temporarily taken over small town patches, suburban yards and overgrown cottage gardens. I’ve looked through seed catalogues and borrowed tools. I’ve had some 'success, made loads of mistakes and am still learning a lot. Now as I look out of my window with great pleasure into the country :garden below, I see the primroses that have done well and the  weeds that I should do something about!
