Padma bridge is one of the dream projects of Bangladesh. It connects Mawa of Munshiganj with Janjira of Shariatpur. The Padma bridge is a multipurpose road-rail bridge across the Padma river in Bangladesh. It will be the world’s six-largest multipurpose bridge. Padma bridge will connect the south-west region of the country with the capital and eastern part. The project is now being funded from the own resources of the government of Bangladesh. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina laid the foundation stone of Padma bridge on 12th December 2015. The total length of the Padma bridge is 6.15 km and width is 18.10m. It is a four lane highway and single lane Railway Bridge. The total number of spans of the bridge is 41. Each of them is 150 meters long and weighs 3,140 tons. “Bangladesh Bridge Authority ” is maintaining the Padma Bridge. The contractor of the bridge is “China Major Bridge Engineering Corporation”. It is a truss bridge and the material of the bridge is steel. The bridge will open a new horizon in the communication system of the country. It will bring a revolutionary change in the life of south-west residents. For this, regional corporations will be increased. In addition, it will play an important role in the economic sector of Bangladesh. Industrial development and employment opportunities will be increased. Not only will the economy and transportation facilities will increase but also medical and educational facilities will be easy to access.

Demographic dividend

Demographic dividend is the economic growth potential that can result from shifts in a population's age structure, mainly when the share of the working-age population (15 to 64) is larger than the non-working-age share of the population. Demographic dividend occurs when the proportion of working people in the total population is high because this indicates that more people have the potential to be productive and contribute to growth of the economy. Due to the dividend between young and old, many argue that there is great potential for economic gains, which has been termed the demographic gift. In order for economic growth to occur the younger population must have access to quality education, adequate nutrition and health. Demographic dividend takes place when a country undergoes a demographic transition from a rural agrarian economy with high fertility rates to an urban industrialized economy with low fertility and mortality rates.

Padma Bridge

The Padma Multipurpose Bridge is the longest bridge in Bangladesh. On June 25, 2022, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the largest infrastructure in the country. The bridge is mainly constructed with steel and concrete. This great Padma Bridge was actually a dream to the people of Bangladesh. Ultimately, Bangladesh successfully implemented this biggest project without any foreign investment. Bangladesh spent over 30,000 crores to build this longest construction. The length of the main bridge is 6.15 km and the width is 18.10 m. Total span 41 and each span is 150 meter long. The bridge connects Mawa in Munshiganj district to Jajira in Shariatpur district. It has two layers a four-lane road at the top and a railway at the bottom. The bridge will also be used for gas, power lines and fiber optic cable expansion in the future. The Padma Bridge will surely have a significant contribution to the social, economic and industrial development of the southern part of Bangladesh. The bridge will play an important role not only in the country but also in the regional connectivity of Asia and Southeast Asia. In the coming days, the Padma multipurpose bridge will continue to promote industrial development and economic growth in Bangladesh.

"Traffic jam in Dhaka city is a big problem. Every day, cars, buses and rickshaws get stuck in long lines on the roads. It makes people late for work, school and other important things. The roads are crowded and sometimes it takes hours to reach a destination that should only take a few minutes. This causes frustration and wastes time and fuel. To solve this problem, we need better planning, more public transportation, and everyone's cooperation in following traffic rules."

Smart Bangladesh

Smart Bangladesh is an initiative led by the Government of Bangladesh aiming to transform Bangladesh into a technologically advanced and sustainable society. Building on the foundation of the Digital Bangladesh initiative, Smart Bangladesh envisions the development of smart cities, smart agriculture, smart healthcare, smart education, smart energy, smart governance and smart institutions with the ultimate goal of creating a more prosperous, equitable, and sustainable future for the people of Bangladesh.

My school life has been an amazing journey so far. I started my education in a small primary school and then moved on to a bigger secondary school. Throughout my school life, I have been fortunate enough to have experienced a positive and supportive learning environment. I have made many great friends, learned valuable lessons and developed my passion for learning. My school life has not just been about studying and getting good grades, it has also been about extracurricular activities and sports. I have been a member of the school's debate club, music club and basketball team. Participating in these activities has not only helped me to build my skills and confidence, but it has also allowed me to meet new people and form new relationships.

The name of our country is Bangladesh. Before 1971 it was known as East Pakistan. Then we were the part of then Pakistan. They started to oppress us in many ways. They did not give our rights. On 25 March 1971 the Pakistani army invaded our mother land. They killed many people and injured a lot. Many women were tortured by them. Thousands of them were raped and killed. Many people fled to India to survive. But people could not bear any more. They made themselves ready to face the Pakistani army. Many common people, with the help of Indian government, fought against them. They fought for Liberation. So it is called Liberation War of Bangladesh. Then Sheikh Mujib was the leader and General Ataul Gani Osmani was the Army Chief. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman played the lead role in gaining independence. Не inspired people to fight for mother land. Common people of Bengal went to battle field with the dream of having a free mother land. And it was the great leader Sheikh Mujibur Rahman who made people dream for an independent country. It was not easy for the common people to fight against the trained armies of Pakistan. They fought for nine month and after nine month we gained our liberation. But this liberation took lives of more than thirty lakh of people. Now we are a free nation. We remember the freedom fighter with great respect.

Bangladesh Delta Plan (BDP) 2100 was approved by the National Economic Council (NEC) chaired by Sheikh Hasina, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bangladesh on the 4th of September 2018.

“A 100 year visionary plan, Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100 – an important step towards fulfilling the commitment of achieving a safe, resilient and prosperous Bangladesh” proudly asserted by the Hon’ble Prime Minister.

Bangladesh is the first country in the world to develop such a comprehensive long-term plan for its entire delta. The Government of Bangladesh plans to spend 2.5% of GDP for delta-related interventions, through new investments and maintenance of already realized projects.

The Dhaka Elevated Expressway is a major infrastructure project designed to alleviate traffic congestion in the capital city of Bangladesh. Spanning approximately 23 kilometers, the expressway runs from the airport to the central part of Dhaka, connecting key areas such as Kamalapur, Moghbazar, and Banani.

The General Consultant, namely the NKDM Association, commenced work beginning in February 2014. In June 2013, Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited was established by the government to implement the Metro Rail Lines across the city. Dhaka metro rail was opened by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on 29 December 2022.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by ministers, government officials, engineers, and enthusiastic citizens. The Prime Minister expressed pride in the nation's achievement and highlighted the Metro Rail as a symbol of Bangladesh's rapid progress in infrastructure development.

The Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Line-6, stretching from Uttara to Motijheel, is the first of its kind in the country. The initial phase, from Uttara North to Agargaon, became operational first. The full line, once completed, will cover approximately 20.1 kilometers with 16 stations, serving thousands of commuters daily.

Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the metro rail promises fast, safe, and eco-friendly transport. It will significantly cut travel time, improve traffic conditions, and reduce pollution in the city.

The successful launch of the Dhaka Metro Rail is a major step toward building a modern, smart Bangladesh. Authorities have urged the public to use and maintain the service responsibly, ensuring its long-term success.

Global Warming is a dangerous effect on our environment that we are facing these days. Rapid industrialization, increase in the population growth and pollution are causing a rise in Global Warming. Global Warming refers to the increase in the average temperature of the earth's surface during the last century. Global warming is having a number of effects on the Earth. The most significant effect is the rise in sea level. The Earth’s average sea level has risen about 8 inches since 1880. Scientists believe that the sea level will rise another 1 to 4 feet by the end of the 21st century. The rise in sea level is caused by the melting of glaciers and the expansion of seawater as it warms. The rise in sea level will cause flooding and will damage coastal areas.Global warming is a gradual increase in the temperature of the earth surface and atmosphere all around the world. It is caused due to the greenhouse effect of increased level of green house gases such as carbon dioxide, CFCs, etc. There are various types of pollutants also which involved in increasing the atmospheric temperature of the earth. Increasing use of fossil fuels by the people and deforestation is increasing carbon dioxide emissions which trap heat and cause greenhouse effect.

Remittances to rural areas can bolster climate resilience. These financial inflows empower communities to adopt eco-friendly technologies and practices, enhance food security and mitigate climate change impacts. This helps build long-term environmental sustainability and economic stability.
